“BECOMING” features Iris Caj’s vocal and lyrical debut with ENiAM. In a pivotal collaboration, Marlan’s spacious and ethereal instrumental landscape conjures a vision of standing on the edge of a cliff, dropping seeds off into a seemingly vast nothing. When we find ourselves pushed to the edge emotionally, physically, spiritually, we don’t always have the option to move forward immediately but we do have the option to cultivate the power needed to do so. With patience and faith we nurture the seeds within us, developing the strength to continue offering our essence in its purest form.
Following the lyrical development evolved the inspired, elegant power of drummer Elliot and the rich tones of our bassist Collin, beautifully solidifying the song’s mystic form. Finalizing the song, new band member Alex Denny offers a soft and cascading guitar.
Exploring the influence of two new members, ‘becoming’ slowly assimilates from the ether, triumphant— emulating the songs lyrical subject matter.
